Hello,

a bit about me:

Welcome!

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to my professional portfolio. Similarly to the mission of many educational institutions, I, too, am a firm believer that all students, regardless of ability, have the potential to become life-long learners and contributing members of society and that a sound education is one of the most powerful tools one can possess.  As highlighted in my resume, I have completed the requirements at Wilmington University to earn my doctoral degree in Educational Leadership. During this time, I studied extensively the experiences of teachers in co-taught classrooms. During the course of my studies, I demonstrated to my students the importance of continued education by sharing my own stories of success, struggle, and determination. I currently hold my School Administrator and Supervisor certifications. Understanding the importance of education, I have recently obtained my Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC) certification through Stockton University.  As a successful educator in the classroom for the past eleven years, I am confident that I can contribute to your educational institution on a broader level and work with all stakeholders to help drive and inspire the mission of the district.

As a former high school English and Special Education teacher and current member of a Child Study Team, I have a great deal of experience and passion for working with young people as well as a sound foundation of content knowledge and pedagogical understanding. Though my experiences as an educator have been primarily in the classroom, during the course of the doctoral program I was able to work closely with several of my school administrators and gain experiences in leadership at the district level. These leadership positions in my district have allowed me to motivate and create a positive rapport with all stakeholders through various activities which include serving as a program coordinator, coach, advisor, and student and new teacher mentor.  In addition, I am active outside of my district and serve as an adjunct faculty member at Salem Community College. My commitment to my students and the district does not stop in the classroom.

My resume does not describe my passion and determined dream that all students can and will learn in a safe, positive, and engaging environment. It is my belief that as an educational leader I can take on the responsibility to ignite passion into students to become life-long learners and active members of society.  I believe that with my zeal and drive as well as my credentials, background, and passion in Special Education, I can make significant contributions to your school family. I thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

Kind Regards,

Meghan N. Taylor, Ed. D.
